Price Rounding Feature #
The Price Rounding Feature allows you to automatically round the order total to the nearest value for easier billing and simplified cash handling.
Once enabled, the system will automatically apply rounding rules to the final order total.
Enable Order Total Rounding #
Navigate to the VitePOS admin panel.
Go to the Settings module.
Locate the Enable Order Total Rounding option
Enable the option
Select your preferred Price Rounding Type
Save the settings
Price Rounding Types #
There are two types of rounding functionality available:
Standard Price Round #
Amounts are rounded to the nearest whole number using standard rounding rules:
Values ending in .5 or higher are rounded up
Values below .5 are rounded down
Example:
10.5 → 11
10.4 → 10
Conditional Price Round #
Amounts are rounded using a custom method:
Values ending in .5 remain unchanged
Values below .5 are rounded down
Values above .5 are rounded up
Example:
10.5 → 10.5
10.4 → 10
10.6 → 11
Verify Rounding in POS #
After saving the settings:
Open the Vitepos POS Panel
Select a few items
Proceed to checkout
Complete the order
The rounded total amount will be reflected on the receipt.
