Sync Settings #

Configure your sync settings for a smoother and more efficient POS experience.

You’ll find two types of sync configurations:

  • When Pusher is Enabled
  • When Pusher is Not Enabled

Adjust these settings based on your usage needs.

Recommendation:
If you have a large number of products, we recommend setting the sync interval to 30 minutes or 1 hour for optimal performance.

POS Mode #

Select POS mode according to your need for Grocery, Restaurant (Pay First),  Restaurant(Traditional) and restaurant(Basic).
It will divide your settings as your needed.

Barcode Field and New Product Badge Duration Settings #

You can choose the barcode field to be either Product ID, SKU, or a Custom Field. By default, it is set to Product ID.

The “New” badge is used to highlight recently added products. It will remain visible for the number of days you specify. By default, this duration is 15 days.

POS Products Per Row #

Configure how many products you want to display per row on the POS panel — choose from 3, 4, or 5, based on your preference.

Product Status Settings #

You can manage product visibility in the POS by setting the product status:

Published: Only products marked as “Published” will appear in the POS.
Private: Only products marked as “Private” will be visible in the POS.
Published + Private: Both published and private products will be displayed in the POS.

Use Camera for Barcode Scanning and Price Customization #

You can use your mobile camera to scan barcodes from another screen (like a mobile or tablet). For larger screens or desktops, you can use an external barcode scanner — or choose to use both options based on your needs.

Price Customization #

When this feature is enabled, users can manually change the price of any product directly in the cart while placing an order.

Tax Calculation Method  #

Choose how taxes are calculated during checkout:

1. Calculate tax before discounts and fees #

Tax is calculated based on the subtotal. Discounts and fees are added after tax is applied.

2. Calculate tax after discounts and fees #

Tax is calculated after applying any discounts and fees, based on the final discounted amount.

Enable Order Total Rounding #

  #
1. Standard Price Rounding #

Rounds to the nearest whole number using standard rules (e.g., 2.5 becomes 3, 2.4 becomes 2).

2. Conditional Price Rounding #

Applies a custom method:
Values ending in .5 stay unchanged
Below .5 round down
Above .5 round up

Offline Order/ Mode #

Offline Order: Enable this setting to keep operating the POS when the internet is disconnected or unstable. See the full documentation about Vitepos Offline Mode.

Note: You cannot log in to POS while offline. However, if you’re already logged in and then lose internet connection, you can continue using offline mode.

POS Login Type
#

You can set your POS login method to either the following:

VitePOS Login – Use a separate login system provided by VitePOS.
WordPress Login – Use your existing WordPress credentials.

Choose the option that best fits your store’s workflow.

Email Notifications #

You can enable email notifications for customers and cashiers by turning on the respective switchers and saving the settings.

Send Email to Customer: #

When enabled, the system will automatically send an order confirmation email to the customer once the order is completed. See the full documentation of sending email to the customer.

Send Email to Cashier: #

When enabled, the cashier (user completing the order from VitePOS) will receive a notification email upon order completion.

Token System Settings #

To manage sequential order numbers efficiently, enable the Token Number feature. This helps streamline your inventory and stock management.

You can also:

  • Add a custom prefix to the token number.
  • Enable the reset switcher to reset the token number daily.
  • The token number will be displayed on the invoice.

POS Logo, Favicon and Barcode Logo #

From the VitePOS admin panel settings, you can upload and change your POS logo, favicon, and even set a barcode logo based on your needs.

POS Color #

You can customize the POS color theme to match your brand. VitePOS offers multiple preset color options such as blue (default), gray, green, purple, black, and more.

POS Link Type #

By default, VitePOS generates a standard POS link. However, if you prefer to assign a custom page as your POS link, you can easily select the desired page from the dropdown and save the settings.

Default Customer (Optional) #

You can also set a default customer if needed. This helps speed up transactions in case you don’t want to select a customer manually for every sale.

Default Order Status #

You can set the default order status for POS orders based on your workflow. Choose from options like Processing, On Hold, Pending Payment, and Completed. Select the one that best matches your store’s operation. See the full documentation of Order status.

Enable RTL (Right-to-Left) #

VitePOS supports RTL language orientation. Enabling this will adjust the interface for right-to-left languages, providing a smoother experience for RTL language users. See the full document of RTL Mode

Enable Single Cash Drawer #

Activating this feature allows only one cash drawer per outlet and counter.
Once enabled, you won’t be able to create multiple drawers for the same outlet/counter combination—ideal for tighter control in physical stores.

Recaptcha Settings #

From this panel you can check your license expiration date, support expiration date your license type, and the license status. When you need to deactivate your license you can easily manage it from this panel.
